Microsoft issue resulting in degraded performance of Zivver in Outlook Online

Unfortunately, the fix deployed by Microsoft last Friday did not solve the issue where users are not able to read sent and / or received Zivver messages in OWA environments for certain shared mailboxes. This is also reported in the Microsoft issue (see https://github.com/OfficeDev/office-js/issues/4781) by multiple developers.

Microsoft has confirmed that a fix has been made. They are gradually rolling out this fix to their users and expect to reach 100% of users by this Friday.

We have recognized an issue which could lead to users not being able to read sent and / or received Zivver messages in OWA environments for certain shared mailboxes.

The issue affects the Zivver side pane: when the problem occurs the side pane will never finish loading, displaying a loading icon that keeps spinning indefinitely. This blocks the user from viewing the contents of the Zivver message.

We have established a relationship with the Microsoft issue described here :
https://github.com/OfficeDev/office-js/issues/4781. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is investigating and working on a fix. Currently, no timelines have been shared with us. We will continuously monitor the issue and keep you informed via https://zivver.info.

Please note :
Zivver organizations that have applied Inbound Direct Delivery (for received Zivver messages) and / or Assisted Mail Submission (for sent Zivver messages) are not affected by the issue as users can view the contents of these messages directly in the mail item as with regular messages.

Available workarounds :

  • Enable Inbound Direct Delivery and / or Assisted Mail Submission. (Please reach out to support@zivver.com if you wish to implement these features).
  • Navigate to the Zivver WebApp (https://app.zivver.com/) to review & send messages.
