Problem identifisert

We are still working hard to resolve this issue in collaboration with the 3rd party that delivers a library used by the plugin. This 3rd party has informed us that they now understand the root cause and are working on fixing it. They will share a new test version with this fix included with us at the beginning of next week. As soon as we have received this version, we will work on a new plugin version that includes this fix and test if indeeds solves our issue. We will update you on the progress once we received the new version of the 3rd party library.

In the mean time our advice stays the same:
If you have not yet upgraded your Office suite to V2402 (Build 17328.20068) Feb 13th or later, it may be wise to withhold from updating, until a new version of the Zivver plugin is available.

If you have already updated, and are affected by this issue, we advise you to implement a workaround by opening replies and forwards in a new window. This can be achieved using this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Message\disablereadingpanecompose = 1 (Hex value).

Additionally users can change this setting through the UI of Outlook via: file > options > mail > replies & forwards > open replies and forwards in a new window = enabled. Users can also open new messages in a new window per message using the keyboard shortcut crtl+o.

As an alternative to opening replies and forwards in a new window, you could roll-back to version 2401 or earlier of the Office Suite.

We appologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Please reach out to support@zivver.com should you have any additional questions.

This 3rd party has shared several new versions of their library in an attempt to fix this, but unfortunately these versions introduced other issues in our plugin.

At this moment our advice stays the same:

The cause of the issue is identified, and is a change to Outlook introduced in Office Version 2402 (Build 17328.20068). All later versions of the Office suite also contain the same change.

Together with a 3rd party that delivers a library used by the plugin, we are currently developing a new plugin version that accommodates the recent Outlook update with high priority. We are also in contact with Microsoft on this topic.

The fix previously provided by the 3rd party involved in this issue lead to other defects in the plugin.

We have tried to come up with other solutions, but to no avail. We need to wait for another fix from this 3rd party.

As a workaround, users that are currently affected can change the default setting on replies / forwards to open in a new window through File > Options > Mail > Replies and forwards > “Open replies and forwards in a new window”. This setting can also be configured using this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Message\disablereadingpanecompose = 1 (Hex value)

We have received a potential fix from the 3rd party that is involved in this issue. We are currently testing the provided fix.

Undersøker

The issue seems related to an update in Outlook and a third party library that is used by the Zivver Office plugin. All involved parties are working to solve it.

Undersøker

Some users may see the Zivver bar in Outlook desktop overlap with the below form fields (“To” or “From” field) in Outlooks inline compose window. Other plugin providers have reported similar behaviour, hence it seems related to an update in Outlook. We are investigating the cause and potential solutions.

As a workaround, users can enable emails to open in a pop-out window. This setting is located under: File > Options > Mail > Replies and Forwards > “Open replies and forwards in a new window”. There is also a registry key available to enable this setting:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Message
DWORD: disablereadingpanecompose
Value: 1
